So I wonder – do you still perpetuate the SC myth to your children? I don’t actually know your take on religion, though you’re hinting, but I recently read an article suggesting that letting children uncover SC on their own can be a good way to equip them with skepticism for parallel questions. I’m not sure how I feel about that, but then my parenting skills are still hypothetical…
Happy holidays!

Hi, Josh. Nah, for as far back as I can remember, both brats thought of Santa Claus as just a story, with a man in a costume etc. No myths here (as far as I can help it). My take on religion is insignificant, but since you asked … I have a lot of respect for some of them, for the goodness and humanity they encourage. I despise a few of them, for the opposite.
As to deliberately imbuing brats with myths, for the benefit of their later discovery of our subterfuge with new powers of skepticism … I guess I don’t buy that.

Here’s that article: http://parentingbeyondbelief.com/blog/?p..
We’ll see how I feel when we eventually get down to it, but thanks for your input.
